A delegation led by the President of the Compliance Institute, Nigeria recently visited the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), and the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU).

 

During the visit, the president expressed gratitude to the agencies for their support and audience and called upon their leadership to encourage professional development in compliance within their organization.

 

The CEO of the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU), Mrs. Hafsat Bakari, emphasized the importance of compliance in any effective framework to prevent money launderers and terrorist financiers from abusing Nigeria’s system and causing harm to the economy and national security.

 

The goal of the visit was to promote a culture of compliance within Nigeria.
